Three days clean. But for some reason I’m not happy with myself. Whenever I look at the cuts that are starting to turn into scars I just want to cut again. I want them to be red. I want them to look like they’re going to bleed. I want to feel that stinging pain that makes it hard to walk. But I can’t. I never can. It’s just so hard though. It doesn’t make any sense. I could cut if I wanted to right now. No one ever asks if I did or not unless I come up to them, “I have good news!” And tell them I hadn’t cut. That’s the only time they say anything about it.

Desmond- "Yumi!! Hey Yumi!!" The others turned to the voice and looked at him angrily. He wasn't supposed to know Yumi's name because she was still supposed to be hiding from her dad.

Ulrich stood there very confused and also angry. How could she just hurt me all those times at banks and murder sites and now of all times to ask me to help her??! Well God knows there is no way in Hell I'm helping her!! Be strong Stern!

Ulrich- "Why do you want my help?" He said with his voice trembling. So much for being strong you wimp!!

Yumi- "There's been a murder..."

Ulrich just stared at her plainly not saying a word.

Yumi- "Well??!"

Ulrich- "Yumi this isn't new news. All the murders I've investigated in my career have been done by you. Sooo unless you're saving me the trouble of just telling me you did it and turning yourself in then...what's the big deal?"

Yumi stared sadly and said "Why are you being like this?"

Ulrich- "Like what?"

Yumi- "Like...Like...a stubborn ass! I ask you for help and you say stuff like me killing people!"

Ulrich- "Well no offense Yumes but you have killed people and when you bring up a murder I just assume...." He never finished his sentence cause the look in Yumi's eyes made him shut up. "I'm sorry Yumes...you're right, I have been acting like an ass. You don't deserve it."

Yumi- "You know Ulrich I never asked for this life..."

Ulrich- "Then be with me! Be good again!"

Yumi- "That's what I need your help about...The murder I was talking about...oh my God Ulrich they killed Hiroki!" She fell to her knees and sobbed. Ulrich stood in shock until he knelt beside her and rubbed her hair.

Ulrich- "Yumi why?! Who?!"

Yumi- "I stole money from a really powerful man and...they found out it was me and killed  Hiroki. I spent the money and now I need to find how to get them the money back or....they'll kill me next."

Ulrich sat quietly taking all the info in. He kept his emotions together for Yumi. It was probably hard for her to lose her brother and now fear for her own life. They both sat quietly for a couple more minutes until Ulrich finally spoke up.

Ulrich- "I'll help you."

Yumi- "What?"

Ulrich- "I'm helping you Yumes. I don't care what you've done in the past. All I care about is right now...with you. But please promise me that when this is all over..you'll turn good again."

Yumi- "I will Ulrich." she said smiling then kissed his cheek. "I'm really glad we're friends."

Ulrich faked a smile. "Yeah...me too."
